Dan Leyson Head Coach, UC Davis Men’s Water Polo
Daniel Leyson, who brings more than 25 years of high-level coaching and playing experience at the collegiate and international levels, was announced as UC Davis men's water polo head coach on May 22, 2013.
He made an immediate impact in just his first season, guiding the Aggies to a perfect 5-0 conference record that fall and a berth in the Western Water Polo Association title game. Leyson's program entered the 2014 year ranked No. 11 in the preseason, tied for the best in school history.
Kevin Peat Assistant Coach, UC Davis Men’s Water Polo
One of the top goalkeepers in program history, 2011 All-American Kevin Peat has returned to the program as an assistant coach. He served as a volunteer assistant in 2012, then left to serve on the department's event management staff, then returned in 2013 as top aide to new head coach Daniel Leyson.
As a senior team captain, Peat tallied a school-record 335 saves and became just the third Aggie goalie to surpass 1,000 career stops (1,011). He also earned all-tournament accolades at the WWPA Championship while picking up a conference Player of the Week nod during the year.

The NCAA prohibits a UC Davis booster (other than a parent/guardian or close family member) from paying a portion of the camper’s camp fees.
