Britt Broady Head Coach
Britt Broady, who brings 15 years of experience as a field hockey coach at the collegiate and international levels, is UC Davis’ new Field Hockey Head Coach.
During Broady’s five years at Duke, the Blue Devils advanced to the Final Four twice and competed for a National Championship in 2013. In addition to numerous All-American, All-Region, and All-ACC awards bestowed to her student-athletes, the team’s defense ranked among the nation’s best.
Prior to Duke, Broady spent eight seasons (2003-10) as an assistant coach at the University of Louisville. Here she helped guide the Cardinals to five conference titles and made three NCAA appearances. Under her guides, two Louisville goalkeepers earned NFHCA All- American honors as well as conference Goalkeeper of the Year recognition.
Broady, is also a USA Field Hockey Level III certified coach, who has played an active role within the organization for nearly two decades. As a coach for the Under-21 Junior National Team, Team USA won a silver medal at 2016 Pan American Games and finished eighth at the 2016 Junior World Cup.
Steph Hussey Assistant Coach
Steph Hussey is starting her second year as an Assistant Coach with the Aggies. Having completed her college career at two of the top field hockey programs in the nation- Syracuse and Penn State, she joined UC Davis in 2016.
During her senior season at Penn State, Hussey, a member of the preseason Big 10 Field Hockey Players to Watch List started all 19 games played, scored a career-high six goals, recorded two assists and finished second on the team with 45 penalty corner attempts.
Before she transferred to Penn State before the start of the 2014 season, Hussey competed for a Syracuse squad that won a Big East Tournament title during her freshman season, a Big East regular season championship and a berth at the Final Four the following year. Hussey, competed for the U.S. U19 and U16 National Teams.
Hussey coached for FUNdemental Field hockey and the U16 Blue Lions leading them to a NIT appearance in 2016. Hussey, was involved with the founding of the first future site in the state of Florida. She proceeded to coach futures up at Syracuse and was an Assistant coach for the Davis site in the 2017 Season. Hussey was the U19 Assistant coach for the Region 11 U19 Nationals team during the 2017 Nationals Futures Championship.
Hussey, was the Head Coach of Club Deportive Terrassa U12 and Open Division Second Team. A club based in Barcelona, Spain, where under Hussey’s guidance the age group teams recorded their best-ever finish.
Sydney Supica Assistant Coach
Sydney Supica joins the UC Davis Field Hockey Program as an assistant coach.
Supica, played her college career at Indiana University before becoming a graduate assistant at Central Michigan University. A starter for 66 of the 70 games, Supica currently holds the record for defensive saves in a game as well as overall defensive save record at Indiana University. Three time selections on both the Second Team All-Big Ten Team and NFHCA Division 1 All-West Region Second Team. In her senior season was awarded a spot to the Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division 1 Senior Game, where she scored a hat trick.
Prior to UC Davis, Supica spent two seasons (2016-17) as a graduate assistant coach for Central Michigan University while simultaneously earning her Master’s Degree in Sport Administration. Supica also spent time throughout college and her master’s degree coaching for Pinnacle Field Hockey Club in Michigan. While working with Pinnacle field hockey Supica was an assistant coach for U14 through U19 teams.
All of UC Davis Sports Camps are open to any and all entrants.
The NCAA prohibits a UC Davis booster (other than a parent/guardian or close family member) from paying a portion of the camper’s camp fees.
